Home page

www.slackline.org.uk  is a site for slackline enthusiasts from the UK and the rest of the World to meet and share information about slacklining.

Whether practiced a few feet, or a few thousand from the ground, slackers all agree slackin' off helps to improve balance and concentration in all aspects of everyday life.

Developed in the late 1970's and early 1980's in Yosemite National Park; climbers used rest days to walk first on chains, and later on nylon webbing to create a new genre of funabulism - slackline was born!

Since then word has spread around the World with some clever refinements along the way. In order to welcome more people to slackline and to take it to its next level, the time has come to form a community and share what we learn whilst slackin' off.

Whilst this is a new site we are endeavouring to add lots of regular news / content and event information, to make this the most useful resource on the net for budding slackline enthusaists. If you want to hear more from us, please join our newsletter.

Have fun and stay safe!
